This is a great live album. It shows how a band can improve their studio songs
when they perform them live. This recording is best when shown on the big
screen. The movie does wonderful things to this disc.
Probably the best part of this disc is side two better known as Dazed and
Confused. Page and company put on a version for almost a half hour
which is nothing short of spectacular. The bowed guitar work here is great and
lets the crowd see what can be done with a guitar with a little imagination.
The second best side has got to be side four with Moby Dick and Whole
Lotta Love. Bonzo's drum solo on Moby Dick is the best that he
has ever done.
Side one of the album also a good side with both Rock and Roll and The
Song Remains The Same.
Personally I was disappointed with side three. I did not like this version of Stairway
To Heaven very well. But that is personal taste only. Many of my
friends enjoyed this version.
Overall a good Zep disc.
