This is another great Zeppelin album. In fact this album is what got me turned
on to Led Zeppelin when I was in high school. They give us two full records
packed with good rock.
Zep had enough new material when they entered the studio to do three sides of a
double album so they used some earlier tunes that didn't make it to disc. The
songs were not used on the earlier albums due to space available not quality of
songs as this album shows.
This album has many high points, In My Time Of Dying gives us an eerie
sound with some really good vocals by Robert Plant, Houses Of The Holy which
was written for the previous album but didn't make it on disc, In The Light
a mellow tune again with good vocals, Boogie With Stu another excellent
tune this one featuring the late Rolling Stone Ian Stewart on keyboards, and
the great song Kashmir.
I could cover all the great tunes on the album but instead I suggest you go out
and buy this one. This is a must have record for all rock fans. I give this
album a strong A and rate this as my second favorite Zep record.
