This album is unique in that it has two sides, an electric side (side one) and
an acoustic side (side two).
It starts off with a good rock song The Immigrant Song and follows with
some good electric tunes. Since I've Been Loving You shows a blues side
to the band again.
On the acoustic side they feature Tangerine which is one on my favorite
Zep tunes and they do a real good job during that song. This side also features
the first time Jimmy Page plays a banjo on Gallows Pole. He borrowed it
from none other than John Paul Jones and does pretty good with it. He doesn't
play it traditional style but more of his own style.
The album finishes off with Bron-Y-Aur Stomp and Hats Off To (Roy) Harper
and gives the listener a feeling of happiness for an album that didn't really
give us what we were waiting for.
I give this record a B and hope for the best in the future of Zeppelin.
